Mater Academy Buys Former Bay Point School Campus in Cutler Bay

Mater Academy, which operates over 25 college preparatory campuses in the Miami Metro area, purchased the former Bay Point School in Cutler Bay for $8.5 million yesterday. The property was previously operated as a school for youth in trouble with the law, until the campus closed in 2010.

Located east of Florida's Turnpike and 216th St, the property consists of 94,965 square feet of improved space built on 44 acres. The sale was funded by a loan of nearly $7.5 million with Sabadell United Bank.
